Unlike Reborn, Abyss strives for a tasteful elegance– pristine bed sheets, rippled water, soft tonal shifts as one muscle transitions into another. I sought to create something subtle– easy on the eyes– though impactful nevertheless.

The mattress represents stability; it’s luxurious with cotton sheets softly grazing the skin. Beneath it rests the dark waters; they’re a dangerous, vast abyss of mystery. The man represents the balance between those two necessities. If you wallow in comfort, constantly avoiding the dreaded water, then you’ll never uncover the mysteries of life. However, jump off the bed altogether and you’ll drown in the abyss.
